Martrys Qualify for All African Games King Of Rugby

In an electrifying display of skill, determination, and teamwork, the Uganda Martrys University rugby team secured a place in the All African Games King Of Rugby during a highly anticipated circuit. The clash between teams left spectators on the edge of their seats as it showcased the essence of rugby's fierce competition and sportsmanship. The circuit, which took place at Impis Pitch    Makerere on Saturday 23rd September 2023, the Martrys team pitted against different teams in games namely MUBS,Makerere2,Kyambogo University and MUBS2 that will undoubtedly go down in rugby history. Martrys entered the contest with a well-established reputation for their formidable line-ups and impressive track records. From the opening whistle, it was evident that this circuit would be no ordinary encounter. Keeping up with The UMU Sports

                          The rugby team of Uganda Martyrs university named Martyrs participated in the rugby competitions named Sevens that happened on the Saturday of 16th September 2023 at Kyadodo rugby grounds. The Martyrs were put in Group B that had Kyambogo university,MUBs,Makerere2 and UNIK.                           The first game was against MUk2,Martrys managed to win the game with 17  points on 0,second game was against  Mubs which martyrs lost 17points on 12,third game was against Kyambogo in favor of martyrs 27points on 5,fourth game was against UNIK which martyrs won  20 points on 0 in favor of martrys.Martrys managed to reach the semi finals that was against Victoria University that ended 7 on 5 favoring Victoria university. Keeping up with UMU Sports

                                                        The soccer team of Uganda Martyrs University named UMU SAINTS had its opening match versing Bugema University that happened on Tuesday 12th of September 2023 where UMU SAINTS managed to win the match at there home stadium known as Nkozi football pitch.             The UMU SAINTS won the game with three”3” goals that were scored by namely Agamirei Ivan who scored the opening goal in the 37th minute of the game followed by Ssentogo Akbar who scored 2goals one(2nd goal) in the 46th minute and another (3rd goal)in the 82nd minute.              Never the less Bugema University also managed to score one goal in the 94th minute by Kimuli Denis that came as a result of awarding Bugema University a penalty after Henry Tumusiime f...
